ATMN Mentor process and what you can expect…
STEP ONE
Application: Please fill out a Mentor Application and watch for an email Ayisha.Mullen@allthingsmadenew.net
STEP TWO
Meet ATMN Staff Conversation. After we receive and review your application, we will contact you to schedule a Zoom “Meet and Greet” to learn more about each other, go over program information, and answer any questions you may have about our organization.
STEP THREE
After our “Meet and Greet,” please fill out your Background Check that is sent to your email.
STEP FOUR
One of our staff members will complete the reference checks from your application.
STEP FIVE
Child Abuse Training Completion is one of the requirements we have for all of our volunteers. This is sent to you from MinistrySafe.
STEP SIX
Please read our ATMN Volunteer Manual and sign and send the acknowledgment and agreement to ATMN policies page via email or as an email stating “I, _________________, certify that I have received and reviewed the All Things Made New Volunteer Handbook.
I further understand that, by signing this statement as required I am indicating that I have read the Volunteer Handbook and understand its contents, or have discussed questions I have with the ATMN staff or program leaders. I also realize that this statement will become a permanent part of my volunteer personnel file.”
STEP SEVEN
Please fill out a Mentor Profile sheet to help us best pair you and place you with others that have common interest and connections. This will be shared with other volunteers, placed in our offices, and shared with parents and participants. It’s a great “get to know you” and “welcome to the team” introduction.

step eleven
Shadowing in a program. This is a time for you to meet some of the team, see our culture as an organization first hand, see the program processes, and structure without having the pressure of jumping in and leading immediately. We will partner you up with one of our veteran mentors or Program Coordinator during this process.
STEP twelve
Follow-Ups are done at week 1, 30 days, and 90 days. These are separate from the regular program check-ins. The purpose in this process is to ensure that you are supported and connected as a new volunteer. This is typically done with our Executive Director.
